Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre

FRASAC are one of Fife’s leading organisations providing free and confidential support to anyone over the age of 12 who at any point in their lives has experienced rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation or any other form of sexual violence. The support is offered to everyone regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, transgender identity, disability and religious and cultural background.

FRASAC also offer a female only space if and when required.

Our Core and Young Persons Trauma Practitioners work on a one to one basis and support anyone (aged 12+), regardless of gender, who has experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives. We also have our Advocacy team who specialise in supporting people throughout the legal system. As well as a dedicated worker who provides services exclusively to students at St Andrews University.

Alongside one to one work our Prevention Workshops deliver vital, thought provoking work in secondary schools and community groups throughout Fife on topics such as consent, pornography and sexual violence. Having attended these sessions young people are more aware of the issues concerning sexual violence and able to engage with them as well as being more aware of the support available, including FRASAC.

In addition to our paid workers, we have a dedicated team of Volunteer trauma practitioners and counsellors along with our Board of Directors who consist entirely of volunteers and play a crucial role in our work with their valuable expertise.

Sexual Abuse Support

Our one to work support work takes place at our offices in Kirkcaldy and at outreach locations throughout Fife such as GP surgeries, community centres etc to accommodate people who find it difficult to travel.
